Ajax have taken Donny van de Beek off the market.

The Holland midfielder was being lined up by Real Madrid for a January move to Spain.

Real president Florentino Perez is a big fan of Van de Beek and saw him as an ideal - and cheaper - midfield alternative to Manchester United ace Paul Pogba.

However, TMW says Ajax management have made it clear that Van de Beek will not be allowed to leave midseason.

The Dutch giants want Van de Beek to play out the season with them before reassessing his potential sale next summer.
