“For Coach’s 85th anniversary, I was thinking about memory and the way familiar things change as we live with them. I didn’t want to make a retrospective. We turned familiar Coach ideas inside out, exposed their construction, softened them and left traces of a celebration on them. Having 85 years behind us gives us the confidence to look forward,” expressed Creative Director Stuart Vevers.
With its Spring 2027 collection, Coach presented an ensemble that showcases elements that Vevers have brought to the House since joining in 2013. Think bias-cut dresses, leather jackets and trench coats. With the newly unveiled assortment, Vevers showcased pieces such as the Inside-Out Brooklyn and the Turnlock Tote. On the runway, new bags formed from vintage Coach pouches can be spotted alongside tops and tailoring adorned with repurposed lining fabrics.
For the uninitiated, Coach was established in 1941 and is celebrating 85 years as an American leatherwear house. In recent years, Coach has become synonymous with premium yet approachable luxury — offering goods that don’t just look good but are also of high quality.
