Sabato De Sarno continues to shine with his latest collection for Gucci at the recent Milan Fashion Week. Here’s what you need to know.

It’s time to usher in the Gucci season! The Gucci Spring Summer 2025 collection by Sabato De Sarno – which was revealed at the Triennale Milano – is a powerful combination of the designer’s own obsessions. From 60’s silhouettes to tailoring, the Italian Creative Director made sure to fuse the House’s heritage with ideas garnered from his journey. From bright orange and green tones to the now iconic Gucci Rosso Ancora, these colours adorn statement-making pieces such as grand coats, A-line jackets and structured jackets. In addition, lace dresses and glossy leather add to the storied ensemble.

Formed around the theme of “Casual Grandeur”, the Gucci Spring Summer 2025 collection was shown in a series of rooms that resemble tones of sunset. On the collection, De Sarno said: “A precise moment in time. A moment to seize and live to the fullest. It’s the moment the sun dives into the sea at the end of an August day. It’s the moment we find ourselves. This collection is a tribute to those moments, and an invitation to stop, seek your own moment”.

Bamboo, a House signature, was prevalent on the runway in various forms. They included everything from the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag and the Gucci 73 Bucket bag to square-toe platforms and jewellery. Moreover, a plethora of models appeared wearing headscarf, the Gucci Flora foulard, featuring illustration by Vittorio Accornero de Testa. The accessory, with its floral motif, was styled with captivating ensembles for that unparalleled Gucci aesthetic.

Stars such as Hanni of NewJeans, Kirsten Dunst, Dakota Johnson, Gulf Kanawut, Jessica Chastain, Jin of BTS, Nicola Coughlan, Mark Ronson and Raye watched on as Sabato De Sarno unveiled his latest collection. Since helming the position of Creative Director of Gucci, he has continued to imbue his expressions and wonders into the renowned Italian luxury house. The seamless intertwining with Gucci’s DNA has created a clean yet complex design language that De Sarno is now known for. The Gucci Spring Summer 2025 collection is a clear example.
