Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has spoken about how the club were able to secure the signing of Youri Tielemans.
The young midfielder impressed on loan in the second half of last season, resulting in links to the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United.
However, Tielemans signed for Leicester on a permanent deal, as part of a 40 million move from Monaco.
Speaking about the transfer to reporters, Rodgers said: "I think what helped was that he had come in and spent the second part of the season with the club.
"So, he felt the love of the supporters, he knows there's a special dynamic within the squad and how we work.
"He had options and big options, but what's great is that he was very focused on his playing and his football. And, for a young player, family is key for him.
"For his wife and his children to come over, it was important that they settled and in a club that is a real community club but one that would give him a chance to flourish.
"And then a football style that will extract his quality. So, in that way it was good for us, but of course, there were always other options, thankfully he chose us."
