The agent of Nicolo Zaniolo insists he's not pushing to leave Roma.
The midfielder has been linked with Tottenham and Juventus.
I heard a lot of talk in recent weeks about Zaniolo, Roma and his contract," wrote agent Claudio Vigorelli on Instagram.
Considering the media attention that Nicol attracted, both in Italy and abroad, it is important to make a few things clear. We have never put pressure on Roma, nor have Roma pressured us, for a contract renewal.
With ex sporting director Monchi and Ricky Massara, we had agreed to meet up at the end of the season to improve the contract of a player who had an extraordinary campaign, with 36 appearances and six goals between Serie A and the Champions League.
Gianluca Petrachi has taken over as director of sport at Roma from July 1. As we await the opportunity to meet with him, we are proud to note that the CIES Football Observatory placed him third in the list of Europe's most valuable Under-20 players.
Nicol is part of Roma's heritage and those who first and foremost believed in his talent ought to be rewarded. This is why it's fundamental we create the right environment for him to keep improving next season.
As of now, there are no negotiations with any club, whether in Italy or abroad."
