Real Madrid have snapped up David Mellado from Tercera Division Salamanca.
The attacking midfielder, 18, appeared set to join Ronaldo's Real Valladolid before Madrid's intervention.
Mellado announced his move today on social media.
He posted: “I can finally make my new club official. Thanks to Real Madrid for the trust and to all the people who have made this possible.
"I am with great desire and enthusiasm to start this new stage in the best club in the world."
