Barcelona great Rivaldo says coach Quique Setien shouldn't be blamed for Arthur Melo's blow-up.
With a move to Juventus now settled, Arthur is demanding Barca release him from the squad for the remainder of the season, convinced he's played his last game for the club.
The Brazilian's actions has infuriated management and legal action is now being launched.
But Rivaldo says no-one should blame Setien for the mess, insisting to Betfair: "I believe the board told Setien to start seeing Arthur as his last option in midfield.
"I can't believe Setien would have made this decision because he wanted to have his best players available.
"Arthur could still have been useful at Barça. It's sad to see how Arthur's career at Barca ends."
