The 23-year-old has received interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.
Nunez has been short of game time at centre back for the La Liga side this season and has reportedly refused to sign a new contract with a desire of playing more minutes elsewhere.
The Emirates Stadium could be a logical destination for the centre back given Arteta's use of a back three in recent weeks and willingness to give game time to younger players looking to prove themselves in the Premier League.
