Atletico Madrid are chasing a deal for Newcastle United attacker Miguel Almiron.
Miguel Ángel Cáceres, the head of sport for Paraguayan newspaper Diario ABC Color, has reported agents for Almiron have already agreed a contract with Atletico ahead of the summer market.
The 26 year-old attacker is rated at around €20m and while the fee wouldn't be a problem for Atletico, his non-EU status does create a dilemma. For the moment, their non-European places are taken.
Santiago Arias, the Colombian fullback, could be moved on, however, to make room for Almiron.
In 37 games for Newcastle this season, Almiron has scored seven goals and produced two assists.
