Ralph Hasenhuttl admits Southampton are hopeful of finding a "solution" for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Dane is out of contract next summer and Everton and Tottenham both want his signature.
Speaking after Thursday's draw with Brighton, Hasenhuttl refused to be drawn on the speculation.
"I cannot confirm anything because I don't want to comment on speculation or rumours," Hasenhuttl told Sky Sports following a 1-1 draw with Brighton.
"He's our player and under contract, and we'll see what happens in the summer. We're hopeful of finding a solution that's for the best."
