Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admits skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants to win the Premier League Golden Boot.
Arteta admits Aubameyang wants to play “every single minute" as he is three goals behind Premier League top scorer Jamie Vardy.
“That is what I did a little bit against Liverpool, to throw him in a moment in the game where I thought it was going to give him a better chance and as well he'd be a little bit fresher for the semi-final," said Arteta.
“But these players they want to play every single minute and they are so competitive. That's what makes them so good as well."
Arteta also said that Arsenal's “Plan A" is to make sure Aubameyang signs a new contract rather than let him go into the final year of his existing deal.
“Obviously the 'Plan A' is the one that exists right now, that he extends his contract and make sure that we can keep him here."
