Maddison has been attracting attention from Manchester United for his performances in the Premier League this season, but is ready to commit his future to The Foxes.
Maddison's current deal takes him through to 2023, but The Sun reports he has agreed to further his stay for another two years beyond that.
The 23-year-old will become one of Leicester's top earners on a bumper £95,000-per-week salary, close behind club talisman Jamie Vardy.
United are still thought to hold an interest in Maddison though he is not considered a priority target, with Aston Villa's Jack Grealish their preferred option.
