Aston Villa are closing on a deal for Feyenoord teen Lamar Bogarde.
The defensive midfielder, 16, has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham in England, but is now in advanced talks to sign with Villa. An announcement is expected within days.
Rotterdam sources say Feyenoord had been pushing Bogarde to agree to new terms, but nothing deal could be struck.
Instead, Bogarde is now a step away from signing for Villa, says The Athletic.
