Newcastle United face missing out on Valentino Lazaro next season.
The wing-back spent last season on-loan from Inter Milan and impressed at times under Toon manager Steve Bruce.
However, Sky Italia says a permanent deal is unlikely and instead Lazaro is set to leave Inter for elsewhere this summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach have expressed interest in the wing-back and are seeking a loan arrangement.
Lazaro managed 19 league appearances last season with both Inter and Newcastle.
