Newcastle are moving for Porto striker Moussa Marega.
A Bola says Newcastle have offered €15million for the 29-year-old Mali international with Portugal's champions holding out for €20million, despite a €30million clause in his contract.
Marega netted 13 goals in 30 appearances for Porto last season.
Newcastle have also been linked with Liverpool's Rhian Brewster on loan, but Jurgen Klopp has played down talk of an immediate exit.
Toon are need of a new striker with their attacking options hit hard by injury.
