Aston Villa boss Dean Smith believes the club is putting the wheels in motion regarding transfers.
The Premier League side have not made any big moves, and fans are wondering if they will strengthen ahead of the new season.
Villa avoided relegation on the final day of the season, and will have to improve their squad to stand a chance of survival this time around.
Asked about transfers, Smith told the club's website: "Wheels are in motion, that was the reason I stopped back, to sit down with Johan and strategically plan what we are going to do.
"Nobody is satisfied with finishing 17th in the league – owners, supporters, players and coaching staff.
"So we need to improve the squad.
"We improved after the lockdown and Project Restart and we need to improve again because we don't want a season of struggles."
