Wolves chief Jeff Shi insists the club will stick to their transfer principles this summer.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo demanded reinforcements for his squad after losing to Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-final.
But Shi says the club will take a measured approach to their recruitment.
"The transfer window is now open until October, which is a long window," Shi said.
"We'll keep working hard, but we will stick to our principles and not rush into anything that isn't right for us.
"We will wait and when the time comes, we will go for it, but if we don't see a perfect target, we have to wait – we still have two months."
