Arsenal have a credible interest in Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
The Gunners have this month been linked with the 22-year-old, joining the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Napoli.
Mikel Arteta i looking to sign a centre-half this summer to shore up his leaky defence.
And according to the Athletic's David Ornstein, the interest from Arsenal is real.
Talking on his YouTube show 'Ask Ornstein', he said: "Arsenal's interest is credible. They do like him a lot.
"He's been high up on their scouting reports for a long time now & it would be a deal potentially that Mikel Arteta would like to do to bolster Arsenal's defence."
