Chelsea boss Frank Lampard felt injuries hit them hard in defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup final
Chelsea suffered injury blows before and during the 2-1 reverse on Saturday.
Lampard reflected, “We didn't play well enough, we know that in our dressing-room.
“But we went into the game with Willian pulling out in the last 24 hours or so, same as Reuben Loftus-Cheek, we then suffered two hamstrings, a dislocated shoulder with Pedro maybe.
“It has been a busy period for us, the players have given a lot, they have given everything and playing with 10 men in the last 20 minutes was a really difficult challenge for them.
“There were certain circumstances in the game that definitely conspired against us, for no bad reason, it was just how it went.
“But in terms of football, knowing us, we didn't play well enough."
Chelsea lost Cesar Azpilicueta, Pulisic and Pedro, in what was his last game for the club before joining Roma, to injury and will be without them for Saturday's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Lampard added: “The hamstring injuries with Azpi and Christian have to be scanned and assessed, but they clearly won't be fit for next week."
