Departing Chelsea midfielder Willian has spoken with Arsenal defender David Luiz on a video call.
The Mirror says Willian held a video call with Arsenal's Luiz on the same day he confirmed he is leaving Chelsea after seven years.
The Brazilian announced his Stamford Bridge exit in a statement, in which he also paid tribute to the Blues supporters.
Willian is expected to join Arsenal at the end of the month once his contract has officially expired at Chelsea.
Willian will put pen to paper on a deal worth £150,000 per week and link up with compatriot, and former Chelsea team-mate Luiz.
On Sunday, the duo spoke to each other via video call, with Luiz wishing Willian a happy birthday.
"Always together," read the caption: "Happy bday my bro @willianborges88."
