Juventus are ready to launch a swap bid for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
Calciomercato.com says Juventus are keen on stealing a march on Roma by snapping up Smalling from United.
Roma have so far failed to reach an agreement with United over a loan extension after the 30-year-old's impressive loan stint at the Stadio Olimpico.
Juve will offer a swap deal to the Red Devils which would see Federico Bernardeschi head to Old Trafford in exchange, with the Italian winger down the pecking order at the Allianz Stadium.
United are demanding £18m to sell Smalling to Roma.
