Wolves striker Fabio Silva has paid tribute to his former teammates at Porto.

The £35m signing admits the speed of his transfer this summer prevented him from saying farewell to his teammates and coaching staff.

Silva told SportTV: "I didn't have the opportunity to say goodbye to anyone, everything was very fast, but when I can return to Portugal I want to go to the training centre to say goodbye to the guys and leave a word with coach Sérgio Conceição.

"I want to say thank you for everything, for the way you always treated me.

"The messages they left me marked me, I felt their affection, you can see that they liked me for the way they treated me."

Silva was referring to the tributes his former Porto teammates posted to social media upon his transfer being confirmed.
