Water biggest issue faced by Kuala Penyu folks

KUALA PENYU: Despite the Federal Government’s recent announcement that RM11.5 million had been allocated this year to provide treated water supply to Kuala Penyu, Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) candidate for the constituency, Cecilia Jompiuh, laments that the people continue to suffer from water problem.

She believes the timing of the announcement has to do with the State election. She said the reality on the ground still shows many people in the district, 110km from the city, having to live with dry taps from time to time.
