Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal has announced election day on Saturday to be a public holiday. He said the announcement is based on Section 9 of the Sabah Holidays Ordinance (Sabah Chapter 56) and urged voters to comply with the pandemic-curbing SOPs set by the Election Commission and other authorities. Shafie reminded the public to avoid the 3Cs -- crowded places, confined spaces and close conversations, and constantly do the 3Ws -- washing hands, wearing face coverings in public places and when sick, and (health authorities') warning heeding.
