Warisan’s Rina wins Kukusan – with majority of 10 votes

KALABAKAN: The Barisan Nasional’s (BN) sole woman candidate contesting in the Kukusan seat, Chaya Sulaiman, lost to Rina Jainal (pic) of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) by just 10 votes.

In the six-cornered fight, Chaya, 60, garnered 2,824 votes while Rina, 39, earned 2,834 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was reported at 53.97 per cent from 12,640 registered voters.
