Burnley boss Sean Dyche has made a plea to his board to tie down his off contract players.
Stalwarts Jack Cork and Ashley Westwood's deals expire in June and Dyche wants them tied down to Turf Moor on new terms to avoid losing them too.
Bardsley, Matt Lowton, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Robbie Brady, Kevin Long, Jay Rodriguez, Matej Vydra and Erik Pieters are also out of contract and Dyche will want to keep the majority of them.
Dyche does not want the board to dither over contract offers for these players like they did last season.
“We have to make sure we're safeguarding in house, as well as looking outside of what we do," said the Burnley boss.
“That has to be looked at, quite obviously, and we are doing that.
“In house is important as well, because we think we've got some very good players here and I think a contract works on two levels.
“It works in the sense of rewarding them for what they've done, and continue to do, and also safeguarding the club for the football business, operating in the Premier League."
