Arsenal are still interested in signing Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer.
The Gunners want a playmaker in their squad before the window closes, and are also looking at Houssem Aouar from Lyon.
Barca boss Ronaldo Koeman is happy to use Coutinho this season, with the player on loan at Bayern Munich last term.
But Sport in Spain claims Arsenal still want to try and do a deal.
They may wait to see if Coutinho features in the coming week or two under Koeman, and then make a loan bid late in the window.
Barcelona may also be willing to do a deal, given their financial situation.
It is unclear if Arsenal can outright buy Coutinho, as that would be Barcelona's preference.
