Manchester United are considering a loan move for Ousmane Dembele as an alternative to Jadon Sancho.
Borussia Dortmund are yet to receive an offer for Sancho, who has long been United's priority signing.
But the German club are not budging on their €120m asking price for the England international.
Barcelona winger Dembele is one of the players the club have considered as a back-up, according to Goal.
The deal would likely only be temporary and will only be pursued if United are convinced they cannot sign Sancho before the October 5 deadline.
Ivan Perisic and Douglas Costa are two other players under consideration.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are confident they will wrap a deal for Porto left-back Alex Telles this week.
