Borussia Dortmund team manager Sebastian Kehl has reaffirmed the club's intentions to keep hold of Jadon Sancho this season.
Manchester United remain in pursuit of the England international.
But before their 5-0 German Cup win at MSV Duisberg, Kehl declared: "Jadon Sancho will play for BVB this season."
Kehl also declared: “Otherwise we are of course watching the market, but we are very well positioned."
Both Sancho and fellow Englishman Jude Bellingham started last night's first round tie - and scored in the rout.
