Two Star Sabah members have filed a blasphemous libel suit against PAS’ Pasir Puteh MP Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh over his remarks about alcohol that has sparked outrage among Christians in the country. The plaintiffs – lawyer Marcel Jude (pic) and businesswoman Margaret Binsing – are seeking an injunction to restrain Zawawi (defendant) from making defamatory, malicious, injurious, blasphemous remarks about their Christian religion. Zawawi already faces countless police reports lodged against him nationwide for suggesting that references to drinking alcohol had been distorted or altered in the Bible.
