RB Leipzig signing Angelino admits he fielded interest from Barcelona before making the move.
Angelino joined RBL on an initial loan this summer from Manchester City after a successful six months in Leipzig last season.
However, it's emerged Barca made an attempt to intervene in negotiations, which was confirmed by the fullback.
He told BILD: "It's amazing that one of the biggest clubs in the world wanted me.
"But in my head it was always clear: I want to stay with RB and not go to another club - no matter what it is about.
"Leipzig suits me, the club's high goals fascinate me. I'm as hungry as the club. The coach is one of the top reasons."
