Peter Anthony steps down as Safa boss

Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Peter Anthony (pic) has announced his resignation as President of Sabah Football Association (Safa) on Monday.

In a brief released statement, he cited the need to take a rest as the reason for his decision to step down.

“With everything that is happening at the moment, including my involvement in politics, I feel there is a need for me to take a break from football for a while.

“Therefore, I would like to announce my resignation as Safa President effective today,” he said.
