Bournemouth striker Joshua King admits he would love to sign for Manchester United this summer.

The Norwegian, who spent five years at Old Trafford, came very close to joining his former club in January.

And now with Bournemouth relegated to the Championship, the 28-year-old hopes a return is back on the cards.

"I'm sitting here at Ullevaal in this chair and I do not know where I will play next season – that's an honest answer," King told TV2.

"I won't lie, I really wanted to go [to Man Utd] in January. But what happened, happened. We'll just have to wait and see. There are still a lot of options.

"I have a dream to play in the Champions League. Whether that will happen in this transfer window or in two years, I don't know. But I have the same dream about it that all boys have."

After the reporter tipped him for a move to Old Trafford, King added: "I hope you're right! It would be amazing if Man Utd are still interested. I was at United for five years and I learned a lot there."
