Thiago Silva admits he wasn't short of offers before signing for Chelsea.

The 36 year-old stopper left PSG for Chelsea last month on a free transfer.

He recalled to L'Equipe: "It was only after the final that my agent (Paulo Tonietto) told me about the clubs interested and he told me that (Lyon sporting director) Juninho dreamed of bringing me over.

"It makes me very proud to know that he thought of me, that he wanted me in a leadership role. It proves that my work at PSG has been recognised. I also believe I demonstrated during the final eight (of the Champions League) that I could still perform very well."
