KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan Road Transport Department (RTD) has collected bids surpassing RM1.98 million for the DDV registration number series via its Online Vehicle Number Plate Bidding System (JPJeBid).Kelantan RTD director, Hanif Yusabra Yusuf said the bid which opened for five days from Sept 17, exceeded the projected target of RM1.5 million and it is the highest collection for a number series since JPJeBId was introduced in Kelantan. He said the registration number DDV1 received the highest bid at RM250,000 from 11 bidders and it is also the highest bidding price under JPJeBid nationwide this year.

“The second highest bid was RM61,000 for DDV 8 followed by DDV 9 (RM60,000), DDV 5 (RM58,888), DDV 2 (RM50,000), DDV 3 (RM47,000), DDV 6 (RM45,000), DDV 7 (RM41,000), DDV 11 (RM33,000), and DDV 111 (RM33,000). “There were 263,631 people registered with JPJeBid at the closing date of the series, but only 1,909 bidders took part and from the total, 963 bidders were successful,” he said in a statement.

Hanif said the successful bidder must register the number on a vehicle in 12 months from, the date of the offer letter at any any RTD office or branch. He explained that the remaining registration numbers available would be opened to the public at the minimum price. “The bidding price would be according to the value category stipulated with the leading category starting from RM20,000, followed by attractive numbers (two digits) RM3,000, attractive numbers (three digit) RM2,500, attractive numbers (four digits) RM2,000, popular numbers at RM500 and current numbers at RM300.

“Members of the public could obtain the remaining numbers via RTD offices or branches. Interested parties are told to get a mySIKAP ID to obtain a list of the current series which have not been registered to purchase them online,” he said.
