Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has confirmed they're in talks to sign Arsenal defender Sokratis.
Sokratis, signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2018, struggled for minutes under Arteta and appears to be surplus to requirements in north London following the signings of Gabriel and Pablo Mari and the return from loan of William Saliba.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis confirmed the Serie A club was “working on it" when asked about the move by local radio station Radio Kiss Kiss (via Goal).
The Italian side may yet lose centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, with reported interest from the Premier League, and manager Rino Gattuso is keen to add to his squad as they aim to return to Serie A's top four.
