The USMNT star is now fully fit and wants regular game time.
He knows he will not have many chances with the Blues first team, and is moving to play for Vincent Kompany's Belgian giants.
The 25-year-old will hope he can get the game time needed to kick start his career following several loan spells.
He has spent time at Nantes, Reading and Vitesse in the past few years.
