Kota Kinabalu: The government has decided to create four illegals’ transit quarantine centres in Sabah where they will be tested for Covid-19 before they are taken to detention depots. Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob, in a statement, said the centres will be erected at Manggatal Community Hall in Kota Kinabalu, Kinarut Community Hall in Papar and Sandakan’s Sibuga Hall at Mile 5 and Sri Gum-Gum Hall at Mile 16. All illegals will be swabbed for the disease at the centres, said Ismail Sabri, adding the armed forces has agreed to activate its 100-bed field hospital in Tawau and daily flights by the air force to help the Ministry of Health transport its staff to Sabah and swab samples to labs in the peninsula.
