Sheffield United have jumped into the lead for the signature of Metz attacker Habib Diallo.
Diallo was linked with Tottenham earlier this summer and has fielded interest from West Brom.
However, Le 10 Sport says the Blades are now favourites to land Diallo.
Metz management have long accepted Diallo will leave before today's transfer deadline - and England is his favoured destination.
The Blades are willing to pay €15m to sign the striker.
