Porto have accepted an offer from Manchester United for Alex Telles.
The Manchester Evening News reports United have agreed an initial fee of €15million (£13.6m) with Porto for the left-back Alex Telles.
United have signed Telles on a four-year contract with the option of an additional year and are expected to announce the deal on deadline day. The deal could rise to €17m.
United had scheduled medicals for Telles, 27, and Edinson Cavani at their Carrington training complex. Telles is believed to have already arrived at Carrington.
The departure of Diogo Dalot on a season-long loan move to AC Milan gave United leverage to press ahead with a move for Brazil international Telles.
United were on the lookout for a left-back last year but cooled their interest after the emergence of Brandon Williams. An injury to Luke Shaw at the end of last season and Williams' struggles persuaded United to move for a specialist left-back in the left-footed Telles.
