Sergio Reguilon admits Gareth Bale had a big influence on his move to Tottenham.
The pair left Real Madrid for Spurs before the summer market shut this month.
Reguilon recalled: "It was a long transfer period but as soon as I heard about Tottenham's interest it was easy.
"It was a big deal to leave my country, my league and my family, but it's gone well.
"Since I got here, the club has surprised me in a positive way. The training facility, my teammates, everything. The arena is crazy. I've really enjoyed it."
The left-back added: "I talked to Bale when I was in Madrid. He told me what it was like at Tottenham. I was grateful to come here with someone who has already been my teammate. I could ask him about things, such as how certain things work."
