Boca Juniors are launching legal action against Barcelona over the departure of Santiago Ramos Mingo.

In February, Barca snapped up the 18 year-old defender on a free transfer, a status Boca now dispute.

Boca president Jorge Amor Ameal has now announced: "We are taking Barcelona to court because of Ramos Mingo. What happened is barbaric and has given a really bad taste in the mouth. Boca is bigger than Barcelona and there are things that just must not happen.

"What happened was that Mingo was treated really badly by the previous board. I do not know if he had representatives or not at the time.

"We are taking Barcelona to court today because we think we have the rights. We are the biggest club in the world and we need to grow even more. That's how we think.

"We are not willing to accept that others do things wrong. It was barbaric."
