Kota Kinabalu: The decision by the Government not to implement a nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO) but to enforce a Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (Temco) appears to be the most sensible approach to handle the surging number of Covid-19 cases, said Alliance for Safe Community Chairman, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye (pic).

“Considering our present circumstances, we can ill-afford another nation-wide lockdown for it will have disastrous consequences on the economy and the livelihood of the people.

“Even though more than half of the spike in cases are confined to prisons and detention centres we must not take the problem lightly,” he said.
