TAWAU: Six hundred and sixty-four Sebatik residents, including elderly folks, chronic illness patients, public transport operators and fishermen underwent a free swab test for Covid-19 at two different locations here, Wednesday.

There were 286 residents of Kg Wallace Bay and 378 Kg Sg Tamang residents benefited from the free screening programme.

The targeted Covid-19 swab test programme was organised by the Tawau Health Department from 9am until 3pm as one of the best measurers taken by the government in the effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 infectious diseases in the country, apart from easing the financial burden of the poor.

On October 6, the department carried out swab test for Covid-19 for 383 residents in Kg Sentosa Block 5, Tawau.
