BEAUFORT: The Beaufort District Office is urged to hand over a water supply pipe project to the State Water Department (SWD) to ease the overall facilitation of water supply to villages here.

Lumadan Assemblyman Ruslan Muharam said the project, under the Rural Development Ministry, had been completed over six months ago but had yet to be handed over to the SWD.

It was completed by a contractor appointed by the district office, however, the works were carried out without the involvement or supervision of SWD.
