IRB branches in KK and S’kan resume operations

Kota Kinabalu: The Inland Revenue Board’s (IRB) Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan branches resumed operations Thursday, but with limited services and operating hours.

IRB, in a statement Thursday, said local counter services at the two branches are open from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 4pm, during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period.

It said stamp duty counters and payment centres at the Kota Kinabalu branch would be operational from Monday to Friday, starting from 8am to 1pm.

However, stamp duty counters at the Sandakan branch are still not operational, the statement added.

“Customers are advised to adhere to the standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council (MKN) while they are at the IRB premises to curb the spread of Covid-19,” it said.

IRB also encouraged the public to carry out all taxation and Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) 2.0 matters online.
