Labuan-Brunei fast boat operator in a fix

LABUAN: Double Power Sdn Bhd that operates three high-speed passenger boats between here and Brunei has been given 14 days’ notice to remove its idle passenger boat “Ming Hai” from the Labuan Liberty wharf.

General Manager of the company, Wong Kiing Toh, said: “Our passenger boats have been operating the Labuan-Brunei-Labuan link since 1989. 

“There had never been a problem if our boat was parked at the wharf overnight. Our passenger boat services had to be discontinued due to Movement Control Order (MCO) both here and Brunei.
