Olympique Marseille are locked in talks with Arsenal over a deal for Matteo Guendouzi.
OM are attempting to thrash out terms over a loan deal for the former Lorient prospect, though Arsenal would prefer an outright sale.
Telefoot says OM management wish to take Guendouzi on a free loan, with the French club paying his wages in full. But the Gunners are pushing for a straight sale.
Arsenal have set Guendouzi's price at €40m.
Along with OM, Unai Emery's Villarreal are also keen on the midfielder, though like their French rivals have little chance of meeting Arsenal's valuation.
