Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is delighted with his move to Atletico Madrid.
Torreira has joined Atletico on a season-long loan.
He declared: "It is a true privilege and a great satisfaction to be able to feel part of this beautiful family and to wear this beautiful shirt.
“I hope to contribute work, commitment, be committed to the team. I think work is the most important thing."
On Atletico coach Diego Simeone, he continued: “He is a coach who has achieved important things with this team, who has had a very long career. It will be a pleasure to be at his service and I hope in the time that I am here to learn a lot and follow his instructions.
"I think we are going on quite similar paths in the way I play. Atleti football is quite similar to that of the Uruguayan team, which we are used to playing ourselves. I hope to fit in in a good way, to be able to satisfy the fans and feel comfortable."
