The agent of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira admits Atletico Madrid have beaten Roma to his signing.
Torreira, 24, is on the verge of sealing a season-long loan move to Atletico having been deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.
His agent, Pablo Betancur, has confirmed he would be undergoing a medical at Atletico on Saturday ahead of his loan switch.
Roma were also keen on signing him, but Betancur told Inside Futbol on Friday: “Roma is out. Now Atletico. Yes, tomorrow medical visits."
Torreira has made 39 appearances for Arsenal since joining from Sampdoria in 2018, scoring four goals and playing a key part in their FA Cup triumph last season.
